Selling on Mazad
Who can participate and bid on my car?
Bidding is open to all users of the Mazad by Motory app, whether individuals or suppliers.
Is a “Mojaz” report required before listing my car?
Yes. A Mojaz report is mandatory for a car to be listed in the auction.
Does Mazad inspect the vehicle or verify its information?
The user is fully responsible for entering all vehicle information accurately and completely in the app, including basic vehicle information, basic inspection details, and the minimum sale price.
When will my car be removed from the auction and a penalty applied?
Any inaccurate or misleading information may lead to removal of the listing or cancellation of the sale without refund. Financial penalties may apply as appropriate, including deduction of the SAR 300 service fee paid when listing the vehicle.
What are the requirements to list my car on Mazad?
The seller must be the legal owner of the vehicle, the owner of the account on the Mazad by Motory app, ensure the vehicle’s periodic inspection is valid if the vehicle is over three years old, and have a valid vehicle registration with at least two weeks remaining to ensure a smooth ownership transfer.
How is the sale completed when the car reaches the required price?
The winning bid amount is paid to Mazad by Motory, and the funds are transferred to the seller after completion of ownership transfer and delivery of the vehicle, after the auction commission is deducted. If the buyer fails to pay within 24 hours of auction close, a penalty of SAR 2,000 per vehicle applies; this is deducted from the insurance fee or collected via a promissory note.
Is the user required to pay an insurance fee or issue a promissory note?
No. Only a non-refundable SAR 300 service fee is required, which includes the brief inspection report
Can residents with residency permits use this service?
Yes. The service is available to all individuals, both citizens and residents with valid residency permits.
What is the minimum sale price?
It is the minimum price you agree to for selling your car, inclusive of the auction commission of 3% of the final price (with a minimum of SAR 1,000). If the bids do not reach this price, the auction will be canceled and the car will not be sold. This price will remain hidden and will not be visible to bidders.
How can I follow the auction and receive notifications?
You can follow the auction and receive all related notifications exclusively through Mazad by Motory app.
Can vehicle information be edited after the auction starts?
No. Vehicle details cannot be edited once the auction has started.
How long does the ownership transfer take?
The ownership transfer process is carried out in coordination between the seller and the buyer, after their contact information is shared through the application.
Must the vehicle ownership be transferred from the seller to the buyer before delivering the car?
Yes, ownership must be transferred before delivering the car.
