Selling on Mazad
Who can participate and bid on my car?
Bidding is open to all users of the Mazad by Motory app, whether individuals or suppliers.
Is a “Mojaz” report required before listing my car?
Yes. A Mojaz report is mandatory for a car to be listed in the auction.
Does Mazad inspect the vehicle or verify its information?
The user is fully responsible for entering all vehicle information accurately and completely in the app, including basic vehicle information, basic inspection details, and the minimum sale price.
When will my car be removed from the auction and a penalty applied?
Any inaccurate or misleading information may lead to removal of the listing or cancellation of the sale without refund. Financial penalties may apply as appropriate, including deduction of the SAR 175 service fee paid when listing the vehicle.
What are the requirements to list my car on Mazad?
The seller must be the legal owner of the vehicle, the owner of the account on the Mazad by Motory app, ensure the vehicle’s periodic inspection is valid if the vehicle is over three years old, and have a valid vehicle registration with at least two weeks remaining to ensure a smooth ownership transfer.
How is the sale completed when the car reaches the required price?
The contact information of both the seller and the buyer will be shared between them, to allow them to coordinate and complete the ownership transfer procedures. If no agreement is reached between them, the seller may relist the vehicle again.
Is the user required to pay an insurance fee or issue a promissory note?
No. Only a non-refundable SAR 175 service fee is required.
Can residents with residency permits use this service?
Yes. The service is available to all individuals, both citizens and residents with valid residency permits.
What is the minimum sale price?
It is the minimum price you agree to for selling your car. If the bids do not reach this price, the auction will be canceled and the car will not be sold. This price will remain hidden and will not be visible to bidders.
How can I follow the auction and receive notifications?
You can follow the auction and receive all related notifications exclusively through Mazad by Motory app.
Can vehicle information be edited after the auction starts?
Yes. Vehicle details can be edited before the first bid on your car.
Do I have to sell to the highest bidder if I don’t like the final auction price?
No, selling is optional; if you don’t like the price, you can simply choose not to sell your car
